Special Envoy was born in 1980 and had a glittering career, as a novice horse he was competed by Irish rider Marion Hughs before being sold to be ridden by Brazilian legend Nelson Pessoa who would win many classes with the horse before giving the ride to his son Rodrigo Pessoa.
